We regularly receive a large number of enquiries about the recording facilities that Stakeout Studios offer, so below we have provided some quick answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. How many days in the studio do we need to book?

The amount of days you will need to book will depend on how many tracks you are looking to record; we book a standard of 2 days per track. For your first track we recommend booking 3 days so your producer can have enough time to find your perfect mix that you can use on future tracks.

Are we allowed to bring in our own producer?

You are more than welcome to use your own producer for your session at Stakeout; in this case your producer must contact the Studio Manager to arrange the booking.

How and when do we pay for our booking and is there a deposit required?

We require a 50% deposit to confirm any studio bookings, 4 weeks before the first session date. The remainder of the studio bill is to be paid on the final day of your session, either by cash or card.

Are we able to cancel our booking?

Yes, you can cancel your booking and get a full deposit refund as long as you give us a minimum of 60 days notice. Should you cancel your booking within 60 days of your session start date, we will be unable to refund your deposit.

Is there any accommodation at the studio?

Unfortunately there isn't any overnight accommodation at the studio. However there is a 'Travelodge' 5 minutes away and plenty of B&Bs in the area. Go to our Contacts & Links page for accommodation links.
