Stakeout Studios was created to allow artists to record to a release quality, at an affordable price. Since its humbles beginnings in 2002, hundreds of bands, signed and unsigned, have recorded at the studio, including Reuben who recorded their debut album “Racecar Is Racecar Backwards” and more recently The Ghost Of A Thousand’s new album which received a 5 K review in Kerrang. Both of these albums were produced by Jason Wilcock.

The studio combines the best of digital, analogue, modern and vintage worlds using state of the art Pro Tools Systems with Apogee conversion, teamed with Abbey Road microphone preamps by Chandler, in addition to classic pieces of analogue by Thermionic Culture, Manley Labs, Millennia Media, Universal Audio and UREI.

The recently upgraded and refurbished premises are extremely spacious and have enough space for bands of any size to record and relax.

Studio A has both a large live room, with a separate isolation booth and a large control room with two comfortable three seater sofas plus a number of luxury bean bags to allow all members of the band to be part of the recording process in comfort.

Studio B is a more intimate environment, with a large adjacent lounge and is ideal for recording overdubs of any kind.

All rooms in Stakeout have been designed to get the best acoustics and the producers will assign whichever room is best suited to the task.

Located on an Island in the middle of the river Thames in Hampton (SW London), the scenery is beautiful. 10minutes walk from Hampton station, and convenience stores. Many take-aways deliver to the island and an enormous supermarket is a short drive.
